Parrots are intelligent and complex creatures with a variety of needs that must be met to be successful members of their human home. At Parrot University our focus is education of owners and potential owners in companion parrot care and behavior. Parrot U is a retail store offering all the essentials and lots of “fun stuff” for your birds. Our knowledgeable staff is available to answer any questions you may have. In addition to the largest and most reasonably priced “parrot-phernalia” in the area, we offer classes, seminars and behavioral consultations to assist you with your parrot relationship. Our library offers a wide range of books, magazines, articles, and DVDs for your enjoyment and education.

Parrot University offers numerous classes for the companion parrot owner. Go to “Calendar of Events” for monthly schedules. Classes offered include:

    • Cooking for Your Bird
    • Training – A Healthy Interaction with Your Bird

My name is Karen Cheek Justice. I am the owner of Parrot University and founder of Companion Parrots Re-homed. After acquiring my first parrot in 2000 I have devoted my time to learning all I can about every aspect of parrots. My education includes care, nutrition, veterinary care, behavior, training, and conservation. For more on my background please click on “About Parrot University.”

My goal for Parrot U is that it be a resource to parrot lovers for the improvement of their relationship with their companion bird.
